Loving Passion fruit

Have you tried the passion fruit mousse at Gallery Cafe?? Well if you haven’t I insist that you go there right this instant and treat yourself. It is simply heavenly. The mousse just melts in your mouth and is so light and fluffy. The top is garnished with passion fruit pulp which initially tingles your palette but the combination of sweet and bitter is beyond perfect. I doubt there is anything better in Colombo.

I found a recipe that comes close to the mousse at Gallery Cafe. Haven’t tried it out yet so cant be sure. 🙂

Passion Fruit Mousse (8-10) Serving

Things you will need:

  • Whip cream 20 oz
  • Condensed milk 28 oz
  • Concentrated passion fruit juice(maracuja juice)500ml
  • Passion fruit pulp for garnish
  • Mixer

Instructions:

  • Put everything together in a mixer
  • Mix till light and fluffy
  • Pour into serving glasses and refregerate.
  • Serve with passion fruit pulp garnish.

So there it is. Sounds simple. Remember not to gobble it up but to enjoy it, mouthful at a time! 🙂
